The St. Charles Veterans Center is proud to present 14 of its local heroes displayed on banners attached to seven light poles stretched along Route 31/Second Street between Main Street and the Pottawatomie Park pedestrian bridge, now known as the Freedom Corridor.
Back in 2019, the idea to honor Veterans was inspired between a St. Charles resident and Mayor Ray Rogina, then developing this idea with our very own Vanessa Bell-LaSota into a program. The program's goal is to display the banners for a six-month period from Veterans Day to Memorial with new Veteran banners displayed from Memorial Day to Veterans Day.
Thank you Ladies and Gentlemen for your Service to our Great Nation.
